Structural Strain Gage Testing

All Test & Inspection, Inc. provides structural testing services such as strain gage; non-destructive; functional; stability; proof load; duty cycle or other types of tests, at your location or ours. We conduct unbiased, independent, third-party testing for equipment manufacturers whose products are required to meet specific OSHA, SAE, ASME, ANSI, NFPA or other structural performance requirements. Our customers include leading equipment manufacturers within the following industries:
  • Lifting
  • Utilities
  • Paving
  • Material Handling
  • Excavation
  • Agriculture
  • Demolition
  • Concrete
  • Construction
  • Fire/ Rescue
  • Amusement Ride
  • Logging
We work closely with the design engineering departments of our customers to provide testing capabilities they themselves do not possess or to augment their current testing capabilities. We also provide consultation and 3rd party test witness services to customers who conduct their own testing but seek independent oversight and verification of their test procedures and results.

Specializing in Strain Gage Data Acquisition.

Strain gage data acquisition is the real time computerized recording of strain in the material of a structure while in a loaded condition. This strain can be recorded under both tensile and compressive loadings. Recording of the actual strain present in the material helps identify those areas that may approach or exceed the acceptable strength margins of the material and is useful in correlating with the results of computer aided design analysis.

Equipped to record or provide:

  • Acceleration Measurements.
  • Force Measurements.
  • Hydraulic Pressure Measurements.
  • Load and Proof Load Testing.
  • Machine Stability Testing.
  • Brittle Lacquer, Strain Indicating Coating Testing.

Benefits of utilizing All Test & Inspection, Inc.’s services include:

  • Compliance with applicable government, industrial, or manufacturer’s standards.
  • SAE J987 – Lattice Boom Cranes - Method of Test.
  • SAE J1063 – Cantilevered Boom Cranes – Method of Test
  • SAE J765 – Crane Load Stability
  • Correlation of computer aided design (CAE, AEM, FEM, FEA) predictions with real world test data.
  • Structural Performance of Prototypes Prior to Production Phase.

Quotes - A quote detailing the estimated project cost for structural tests can be prepared once the scope of the tests and the required test conditions have been determined. Factors ultimately affecting the cost include test location, duration, materials, and associated expenses required for your project.
